Project development and pre-construction planning are integral to what we do and the design solutions that we develop. Through extensive procurement research, logistics planning and community input, we ensure that our designs are achievable and, above all, appropriate to the local setting. This knowledge allows us to design, build and deliver projects in remote and challenging locations around the world.
We maximise the opportunities to use sustainably sourced materials and work with local skilled trades people on all of our projects. During development, CBC works in partnership with the community to build an understanding of local construction techniques and also gain a sense of where there might be gaps in construction know-how.
